Matt Haley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Sheriff's Office, with expertise spanning various divisions. Starting as a correctional officer, he quickly progressed to patrolling Harrison County, establishing valuable relationships within schools and the community. As an administrator over three divisions, Matt gained comprehensive knowledge in purchasing, grants management, budgeting, policy development, and training implementation. Promoted to Administrative Captain under Sheriff Troy Peterson, he worked closely with the Sheriff to make critical decisions for the department's well-being.
Matt's commitment to community service and strong community relations has always remained a priority throughout his career. With his extensive experience, diverse skill set, and unwavering dedication, he is a valuable asset to the Sheriff's Office, ensuring the safety and well-being of Harrison County.

Matt resides in Saucier and is married to the former Felicha Hendry. Matt has 2 sons, Jordan and Jayden, along with Daughter-in-law Jenna and 2 granddaughters, June and Julia. (I know, it’s a lot of J’s)
